PRESS RELEASE
The General Manager of Standards and Quality Agency (ANOR) informs public sector partners, employers' organizations, Consular offices, Civil Society and all Stakeholders in standardization of the revision of mandatory Standards in the following sectors:
- Aquaculture and fish products;
- Hallal products;
- Water, water industry, environment and use;
- Packaging, packaging and bottling industry;
- Metallurgy, iron and steel industry, metal work;
- Technology and food products;
- Milk and dairy products;
- Meat and meat products or of animal origin;
- Drinks ;
- Paper andcardboard technology;
- Transport and road safety;
- Petroleum products.
The above mentioned standards works will be carried out within the relevant Technical Committees and Specialized Working Groups set up for this purpose.
It should be recalled that the said mandatory standards are the standards used as basis for conformity assessment of imported products (PECAE) and those manufactured locally.
Their revision will permit Cameroon to comply with international practices while ensuring the protection and safety of Cameroonian consumers.
